SHELBIANA, Ky. — A Pike County woman was arrested on misdemeanor charges, after police say she repeatedly called 911 without a reason. Around 8 p.m., Thursday, a state trooper was called to the Lick Branch home of Toshia Isaac, 33, after a call to 911 from her home. Before the officer arrived, Isaac reportedly called dispatch and said everything was OK and that her autistic child accidentally called 911. Driver’s license clerk accused of fraud against patrons
PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — An employee of the Prestonsburg driver’s license office has been arrested, after police say she kept patrons’ debit card numbers and used them to buy items for herself. Brittany Dingus, 30, of East Point in Johnson County, was arrested Friday morning. She is charged with two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, one count of attempted fraudulent use of a credit card, and one count of unlawful access to a computer. Martin County man arrested on rape charge
INEZ, Ky. — A Martin County man is in jail, after being accused of forcibly raping a woman. The woman told police that a man she didn’t know had picked her up in Inez Tuesday morning and offered to give her a ride. After they drove around for a while, he stopped in the senior citizens center parking lot and asked her if she had heard about two women from a local drug treatment center who had been raped and killed, instantly putting the woman in fear for her life. Bond lowered in vehicular homicide case
PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — A judge has lowered the bond for a man charged with vehicular homicide in a DUI crash that killed two Prestonsburg teenagers last year, despite opposition from the victims’ families. Marcus Logan Auxier, 21, of Nippa, is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide, three counts of wanton endangerment, three counts of assault, DUI and failure to render aid. He is accused of being impaired last July when he crashed his vehicle with five other people in the car.Two of those passengers, 16-year-old Kendra Jade Moreno and 13-year-old MaKenna Reese Barnett, died of their injuries.
