LONDON, Ky. — A Pike County woman has signaled her intention to plead guilty in a federal child porn case. Pamela Denise Sargent, 45, of Kimper, is currently charged with four counts of producing child porn. Those charges carry a potential sentence of between 15 and 30 years in prison. The case began with a child porn investigation in Missouri, where a Park Hills man was arrested for possessing and promoting child porn and sexual exploitation of a minor. Second former employee sues Mountain Comprehensive Care, alleging retaliation for not submitting false bills
PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — A second former employee has now filed a lawsuit against Mountain Comprehensive Care, alleging she was subjected to a hostile work environment after she refused to submit fraudulent bills to Medicaid and Medicare. Rachel Williams, a 14-year employee of Mountain Comp who was regional billing coordinator when she resigned in December, filed a lawsuit against the organization March 3. Her complaint mirrors another filed by former Chief Financial Officer Rebeckah Hall against Mountain Comp and its subsidiary, Mountain Plus Services, in January. Wise County man sentenced to 16 years following guilty plea in federal drug case
ABINGDON, Va. — A Wise County man has been sentenced to 16 years in prison after pleading guilty in a federal drug case. Eric Bud Mullins, 34, of Big Stone Gap, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess more than 500 grams of meth with the intent to distribute, conspiracy to possess fentanyl with the intent to distribute, and possession of more than 50 grams of meth with the intent to distribute. Floyd man killed, two children injured in Knott crash
LEBURN, Ky. — A Floyd County man was killed in a Knott County single-vehicle crash Monday night. The crash happened just after 8 p.m. Kentucky State Police Post 13 says a Toyota Camry veered off the westbound shoulder of Route 80 at Leburn and went over an embankment. The driver, Keith Dingus, 68, of Langley, was ejected from the car and died at the scene. Two children were passengers in the car and were transported to UK hospital.
