UK BSB: Tyler Bell, Ben Cleaver Earn Preseason All-SEC Honors
PRESS RELEASE: UK ATHLETICS LEXINGTON, Ky. – Tyler Bell was named First Team Preseason All-Southeastern Conference and Ben Cleaver voted a member of the Second Team by the league coaches, it was announced Thursday. UPike names Green interim dean of Coleman College of Business

East Ky. unemployment rates fall in December
FRANKFORT, Ky. — Unemployment rates fell in every Kentucky county in December, according to figures released Thursday by the state Education and Labor Cabinet. Locally, jobless rates fell drastically to levels more in line with the state rate. Pike County, which was the only county in our region to see November rates rise year over year, had the steepest drop in its jobless rate, plummeting from 7.2 percent to 4.6 percent. Man charged in three-county meth conspiracy reaches plea deal
ASHLAND, Ky. — A Wolfe County man accused in federal court of a conspiracy to distribute meth in three Eastern Kentucky counties, is ready to plead guilty. Clyde Rudolph Endicott, 55, of Hazel Green, is charged with conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of meth, four counts of distributing meth, possession with the intent to distribute, and felon in possession of a firearm. He had been indicted on several of the charges back in July, accusing him of distributing meth in Wolfe, Breathitt and Magoffin counties.
