The 15th region was loaded with talent this year in both girls’ and boys’ basketball, and their achievements did not go unnoticed around the state.   The Lexington Herald-Leader just released their All-State basketball teams from this past season, and the 15th region was well represented. Over 100 coaches around the state were asked to send in their top 10 players from both girls’ and boys’ high school basketball in Kentucky and the top 50 players that received votes make up the All-State list. This is a major honor as a basketball player and especially for our kids here in Eastern Kentucky where a lot of times their achievements and level of play go unnoticed.   15th Region Girls –   First Team:  Paintsville […]

Anne Wilson Performs National Anthem for NASA's Artemis II Mission Launch

PLATINUM-certified, GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter Anne Wilson marked a career defining moment as she performed the national anthem for NASA's launch of the Artemis II mission at Kennedy Space Center yesterday, April 1 NASA's first crewed mission to the moon in more than 50 years. Over the course of the mission, four astronauts will travel on a near 10-day journey around the moon, venturing farther from Earth and closer to the Moon than any human has in over half a century. Watch Wilson's performance here. For Wilson, the moment represents a full-circle milestone. A lifelong fascination with space once shaped her earliest dreams, but after the loss of her brother Jacob, those dreams took a different path ultimately leading her to music and a purpose rooted in faith, healing and storytelling. "What an incredible honor it was to sing the national[...]

Ryan Daniel Cole Returns After A Decade with New Single

After stepping away from music for more than a decade following the end of Among the Thirsty, former frontman Ryan Daniel Cole is returning not to reclaim a platform, but to answer a calling. On April 3, Cole will release his debut solo single, "Oh What A Day," a song written more than 10 years ago and left untouched during a deeply personal season marked by brokenness, healing and spiritual renewal. For Cole, the silence wasn't accidental it was necessary. After experiencing both the momentum and the pressures of a charting Christian band, he stepped away from the spotlight carrying wounds that would take years to process. What followed was a quiet, often unseen journey of rebuilding not just as an artist, but as a husband, father and follower of Christ. Now based in Tampa, Florida, Cole re-emerges with a renewed foundation[...]

Forrest Frank Sets Guinness World Record For Most Weeks Without Releasing A Forrest Frank Song

Forrest Frank has once again entered the record books–though not in the way fans might expect. The chart-topping artist has been awarded a Guinness World Records title for the longest stretch of time without releasing a new Forrest Frank song, ending a historic 14-week gap between releases. The previous record–also held by Frank–stood at just one week. The milestone follows the recent release of "SOS," a new collaboration tied to his newly announced group, DAWN PATROL, marking his first appearance on a track since December 19, 2025. "We know how difficult it is for Forrest to go even a single week without releasing music," a Guinness representative said in a prepared statement. "To extend that to 14 weeks is nothing short of extraordinary. This represents a new level of restraint we didn't previously think possible." According to sources, Guinness had planned a full ceremony to[...]
