Wolford commits to play for Morehead State University
BELFRY, Ky. – Belfry Pirates offensive lineman Bo Wolford has made it official; he will continue his role as an outstanding student athlete by committing to play football at Morehead State University. Leading up to this decision, Wolford had received scholarship offers from schools such as UPIKE, Defiance College, and Georgetown University. Included among his honors was the Kentucky Football Coaches Association’s Coach Philip Haywood Lineman of the Year award, recognizing the best lineman across the entire state. Louisville man accused of bringing pounds of meth to Pikeville indicted by federal grand jury
LONDON, Ky. — A Louisville man arrested after allegedly being found bringing pounds of meth to Pike County has now been indicted in federal court. Andrew Billingslea, 33, is charged with possession of more than 500 grams of meth with the intent to distribute. He was arrested Nov. 16, after Pikeville Police received a tip that he would be bringing meth to Pikeville. Officers waited for him while patrolling U.S. 23 and soon spotted him driving into the county, with a “trail car” following behind him. PRESS RELEASE – MARSHALL ATHLETICS NEW ORLEANS – Marshall Softball’s Diamond Leslie has been named to the 2026 Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference Team, as announced by the league Wednesday. The Herd’s sophomore outfielder earned SBC First Team All-Conference in 2025 following a memorable freshman season. Leslie finished the season leading Marshall with a .381 average and three triples – both Top-10 marks in the SBC. Appeals court reinstates Ky. law requiring sex offenders to use full names on social media
CINCINNATI, Ohio — A federal appeals court has overturned a lower court order that blocked enforcement of a Kentucky law regulating social media use by certain offenders, sending the case back to a district judge for further review. In a decision issued Monday, the Sixth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals vacated a preliminary injunction that had prevented county attorneys across Kentucky from enforcing the law.
