Virginia woman arrested for meth trafficking after passing through Pike roadblock
HARDY, Ky. — A Virginia woman was arrested after police found meth in her car when she passed through a Pike County roadblock. Pike County sheriff’s deputies were staging the checkpoint Saturday night along Route 319 at Hardy, when Cherish Dawn Conaway, 19, of Cedar Bluff, came driving through. Officers immediately smelled marijuana when they spoke with her, so they had her pull to the side. Floyd man charged with meth trafficking following chase
MAYTOWN, Ky. — A Floyd County man faces a long list of charges following a chase the day after Christmas. Just before 5 p.m., Friday, a deputy sheriff spotted a motorcycle run a stop sign without signaling when turning onto Route 680 from Goose Creek Road. The deputy activated his lights to pull the bike over, but wrote that the operator, later identified as Timothy Hall, 26, of Martin, looked back at him and then sped up.
